Domain Selector
The Domain Selector is located at the bottom of the sidebar, separated from the intent list by a horizontal rule. It controls which Domain's Intents are displayed and links to that Domain in the Domains workspace.
What's on This Screen
The domain selector shows:
- The currently selected domain — displayed as a row with the domain icon, name, and an optional "Archived" badge if the selected domain is archived.
- A dropdown chevron (rotates when open) to toggle the domain list.
When no domain is selected, the selector displays a Tag icon and the text "Select Domain".
When the sidebar is collapsed, the domain selector is hidden entirely.
Switching Domains
- Click the domain selector row to open the dropdown list. The dropdown opens above the selector.
- All active domains are listed, each showing its icon, name, and Intent count.
- Click a domain name to select it.
- The sidebar intent list immediately updates to show intents for the newly selected domain.
- The dropdown closes automatically.
If archived domains exist, they appear below a divider under an ARCHIVED heading. Archived domain rows are shown at reduced opacity with an "Archived" badge. You can select an archived domain to view its intents, but you cannot create new intents in it.
Opening a Domain from the Sidebar
- Open the domain selector dropdown.
- Open the Domain you want to configure in the Domains workspace.
- Select General, Resources, or another Domain tab. A saved Internal Secret Store exposes Secrets when you have metadata access; see Secret Stores.
Archived Domain Indicator
If the currently selected domain is archived:
- The domain selector trigger shows the domain name in muted text with an "Archived" badge.
- The New Intent button at the top of the sidebar is disabled.
- The New Intent button's title attribute reads "Cannot create intents in archived domain".
- Existing intents in the archived domain are still listed and accessible.
To create new intents, switch to an active domain using the domain selector.
If a domain is Archiving, Studio temporarily treats it as unavailable for new intents and turns. Opening it resumes any interrupted archive operation; if a running turn is blocking completion, stop that turn and retry archive.
