Profile Settings

The Profile panel lets you change the application color theme and manage your signed-in sessions. Manage your GitHub account under Connections.

Open it from the account menu — your picture (or initials) in the top-right corner of the header bar — under User Settings. Your picture comes from the identity provider you signed in with; when it attests none, Studio shows your initials.

What's on This Screen

The Profile panel has two sections:

  1. Appearance — Color mode selection with three clickable preview cards.
  2. Sessions — Devices and browsers signed in to your account.

Your account identity appears in the account menu.

Changing the Theme

Under Appearance, three theme preview cards are shown, each with a mini UI mockup:

CardTheme
LightAlways light mode — white background, dark text
AutoMatches your operating system's light/dark preference; the preview shows a split light/dark mockup
DarkAlways dark mode — dark background, light text

Click a card to apply the theme immediately. The selected card has a bold border.

Default theme: The application defaults to Dark mode on first load.

The theme preference is saved to localStorage and persists across sessions. Theme changes are synchronized across browser tabs in real time via the localStorage storage event.

GitHub Connection

Open User Settings → Connections to connect, validate, or disconnect GitHub. If Studio cannot use your saved connection, its card shows Reconnection required alongside Re-authenticate and Disconnect; Validate is absent until you reconnect. This can happen when credentials expire or access is revoked.

See Connections for the steps.
