Announcements ​

The Announcements page lets a Vibedata Owner publish one instance-wide message to every signed-in user. The message appears as a banner below the app header on Workspace, Domain, Intent, and Settings screens. It never appears on the sign-in page.

Open it from Org Settings → Announcements. Only users with full instance management access see this page.

What users see ​

The banner shows your message, formatted from Markdown. Links open in a new tab. Every user can dismiss the banner with the × button. The banner appears in an open tab within about a minute of publishing — no page reload needed.

Create an announcement ​

  1. Pick a starter template (Planned maintenance, New feature, or General notice) or write your own Markdown. A live preview shows exactly what users will see.
  2. Choose the start: Start now or Starts at a time.
  3. Choose the end: Until withdrawn or Ends at a time. Times are entered in your local time and stored in UTC.
  4. Choose the delivery policy:
    • Show once in every new session — users see it once per sign-in session. Dismissing hides it for that session only.
    • Show once per user — the banner keeps appearing in each new session until the user dismisses it; after they dismiss it, it never returns for them.
  5. Choose Publish (start now) or Schedule (future start).

Only one announcement can be live or scheduled for any moment. If the times overlap an existing announcement, Studio rejects the new one.

Change or remove an announcement ​

  • Scheduled (not started yet): use Edit to change the text, times, or policy, or Cancel announcement to remove it. Nobody has seen it, so nothing else happens.
  • Live: use Withdraw. The banner disappears for everyone within about a minute. A live announcement is never edited in place — after withdrawing, choose Reuse text to copy the old message into the form, fix it, and publish it as a new announcement. A new announcement always starts fresh, so every user sees the corrected version.

Cleanup ​

An ended or withdrawn announcement and its delivery records are kept for seven days, then removed automatically. This period is fixed by the product and is not a setting.
